Job Title: ACCOUNT CLERK
Job Duties: Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department. Type accurately, prepare and maintain accounting documents and records. Prepare bank deposit, general ledger posting and statements. Reconcile accounts in a timely manner. Daily enter key date of financial transaction in database. Provide assistance and support to company personnel. REsearch, track and restore accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies. Inform management and compile reports/summaries on activity areas. Function in accordance with established standard, procedures and applicable laws. Constantly update job knowledge.
High School Diploma Required? Undetermined
Qualification Requirements: Proven accounting experience, preferable as an Accounts receivable clerk or Accounts Payable Clerk. Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures. Competency in MS Office, databases and accounting software. Hand on Experience with spreadsheets and financial reports. Aptitude for numbers. Ability to perform filing and record keeping tasks. Data entry and word processing skills. Well organized. High school degree or Associate's Degree or relevant certification is a plus. Korean/Speaking/reading and writing is a plus to better communicate with Tour Company partners in Korea. A lot of account payable and receivables are from tour agencies from Korea who gave customers to handle while they are in Saipan. Most of this documents are in native Korean language and having an Account Clerk, who can read, write and speak the Korean language would be a great help to our company in making sure each transactions are accurate. In the event that are discrepancies, the Account Clerk would have to verify each transaction with the Korean Tour Agency to reconcile each transaction to ensure accuracies. Language barrier would be a great inconvenience to both our company and our tour agency partner in Korea in making sure each transaction are well documented and reconciled to reflect maximum accuracy.
