Job Title: Baker
Job Duties: Mix and bake ingredients according to recipes to produce breads, rolls, cookies, cakes, pies, pastries, or other baked goods. Observe color of products being baked, and adjust oven temperatures, humidity, and conveyor speeds accordingly. Set oven temperatures and place items into hot ovens for baking. Combine measured ingredients in bowls of mixing, blending, or cooking machinery. Measure and weigh flour and other ingredients to prepare batters, doughs, fillings, and icings, using scales and graduated containers. Roll, knead, cut, and shape dough to form sweet rolls, pie crusts, tarts, cookies, and other products. Place dough in pans, molds , or on sheets, and bake in production ovens or on grills. Check the quality of raw materials to ensure that standards and specifications are met. Adapt the quantity of ingredients to match the amount of items to be baked. Apply glazes, icings, or other toppings to baked goods, using spatulas or brushes. Check equipment to ensure that it meets health and safety regulations and perform maintenance or cleaning, as necessary. Check production schedule to determine variety & quantity of goods to bake. Measure & mix ingredients to form dough or batter following recipes. Place dough in pans, molds or on sheets and bake in oven and observe products while cooking and adjust controls. Mix icings and other toppings and decorate cakes, pastries and other baked goods. Use a variety of kitchen tools, including electric mixers, pans, rolling pins and cutting tools. May develop new recipes. Submit production and spoilage reports to department head. Must be able for swing or graveyard shifts and able to work weekends. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualification Requirements: Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods. Knowledge of techniques and equipment for planting, growi ng, and harvesting food products (both plant and animal) for consumption, including storage/handling technique s.Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.

Comments: This job opportunity is a temporary, full-time position and must have at least 12 months work experience. Work days will be Monday to Saturday, and work hours will be from 12am to 7am. With this position the employer also offers the three-fourths guarantee as required by 20 CFR 655.423(f) where in three fourths is defined as an offer to workers full-time employment for a total number of work hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays of each 12- week period (or 6-week period if the employment covered by the job is less than 120 days.) Transportation and Subsistence: If the Employee completes 50 percent of the work contract, the employer will provide or reimburse the worker’s transportation and subsistence costs from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Outbound transportation and subsistence costs will be paid by Employer if the Employee completes the work period covered by the work contract or where the worker dismissed earlier.
