Job Title: General Maintenance
Job Duties:  Monitor daily water and electrical meter readings.  Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills and wrenches, to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices.  Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly building systems operate efficiently, or the physical condition of buildings does not deteriorate.  Inspect, operate, or test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.  Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs as necessary.  Assemble, install, or repair wiring, electrical or electronic components, pipe systems, plumbing, machinery or equipment.  Inspect drives, motors and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, or perform other maintenance actions, following checklists.  Clean or lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, or other parts of machinery.  Adjust functional parts of device or control instruments, using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, or straightedges.  Record type and cost of maintenance or repair work.  Troubleshooting, repair and adjustment on doors, cabinets, electrical panel for main electrical distribution, deep well, irrigation amperage, water treatment, and lift station.  Check water heater thermostat.  Check and replace irrigation pump packing.  Change oil main generator engine.  Prepare written materials (e.g. repair status, activity logs, etc. for the purpose of documenting activities and/or conveying information.  Responds to emergency situations during and after hours for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns.  Inspect, operate, and test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.  Dismantle machines, equipment, or devices to access and remove defective parts, using hoists, cranes, hand tolls or power tools.  Maintain or repair specialized equipment or machinery located in cafeterias, laundries, hotel, restaurant and other hotel facilities.  Perform general cleaning duties of buildings or properties.  Paint or repair roofs, windows, doors, floors, woodwork, plaster, drywall, or other parts of building structures.  Assemble boilers at installation sites, using tools such as levels, plumb bobs, hammers, torches, or other hand tools.  Test and treat water supply.  Perform routine maintenance on boilers, such as replacing burners or hoses, installing replacement parts, or reinforcing structural weaknesses to ensure optimal boiler efficiency.  Install equipment to improve the energy or operational efficiency of the hotel building facilities.  Set up and operate machine tools to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs, fixtures, or tools.  Align and balance new equipment after installation.  Inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements, using rules, calipers, micrometers, or other measuring instruments.  Fabricate or repair counters, benches, partitions, or other wooden structures, such as sheds or outbuildings.  Position, attach, or blow insulating materials to prevent energy losses from buildings, pipes, or other structures or objects.  Grind and reseat valves, using valve-grinding machines.  Perform other task as determined and assigned by the Facility Maintenance Department Head.

Qualification Requirements: High School Graduate or equivalent.One to Two Years of work related experienced. Ability to maintain hotel facility aircon, electrical wiring and circuits. Able to read blue prints and engineering plumbing, structural and electrical layouts is an asset. Ability to maintain hotel facility building infrastructures such as plumbing, painting, welding, masonry, and carpentry or wood and metal fabrication. Ability to understand and monitor hotel generators, reverse osmosis, hotel water pumps, monitor golf course irrigation and hotel deep well. Ability to understand, speak, read English Safety Instruction. Must be able to work under the sun and can stand for prolonged period of time and physically can lift at least 50lbs. Willing to work in flexible shifts, days, evening, weekends and holidays.
