Job Title: Translator
Job Duties: Follow ethical codes that protect the confidentiality of information. Translate messages simultaneously or consecutively into specified languages, orally or by using hand signs, maintaining message content, context, and style as much as possible. Listen to speakers' statements to determine meanings and to prepare translations, using electronic listening systems as necessary. Compile terminology and information to be used in translations, including technical terms such as those for legal or medical material. Read written materials, such as legal documents, scientific works, or news reports, and rewrite material into specified languages.
High School Diploma Required? Undetermined
Qualification Requirements: Applicant must have at least 48 months of work experience as a translator and at least 6 months of training in translation and foreign languages. Must know how to speak Russian Language. Experience with translating in English and Russian in engineering, construction and solid waste management fields. Demonstrated knowledge of engineering and construction terminology. Experience with translating technical documentation namely method statements, manuals, specifications and procedures. Excellent customer service, communication and interpersonal skills are a must. Applicant must be hardworking, able to multi task and work even under pressure. Must be able to maintain cooperative attitude under stressful circumstances. Applicant must be willing to work flexible time, weekends and holidays when necessary. Applicant must be able to drive and have a valid CNMI Drivers License.

The work schedule will be from Monday to Saturday, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM but only until 3:00 PM on Saturdays. With this position the employer also offers the three-fourths guarantee as required by 20 CFR 655.423(f) where in three-fourths is defined as an offer to workers full-time employment for a total number of work hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays of each 12- week period (or 6-week period if the employment covered by the job is less than 120 days.)Transportation and subsistence will also be provided to the worker while traveling from the worker's origin to the place of employment as will the return transportation and subsistence at the conclusion of the job opportunity.
