| Job Title: | Radiology Technician |
| Job Duties: | The radiology technician is responsible for obtaining radiologic images, which are used by the physician to determine diagnosis for their patient. The information gained from these images will also be used to help with developing a treatment plan. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Taking pictures of the body while utilizing various imaging methods, which includes magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), mammography, basic X-ray, fluoroscopy, and computed tomography (CT). 2.Ensuring the patient’s safety during the course of the procedure 3.Obtaining images for any areas requested by the physician or radiologist 4.Assisting radiologists and physicians in the process of understanding and evaluating the images 5.Preventing exposure from certain areas of the patient’s body 6.Keeping logs and maintaining radiographic equipment in quality working order 7.Performing job in compliance with agency policies and procedures and professional standards. |
