Job Title: General Ledger Accountant
Job Duties: • Must be able to utilize technical accounting expertise to provide the following support as designated by management: Month-end and year-end closing. • Monthly balance sheet and P&L Fluctuation Analysis. Monthly expense variance analysis. Cost accounting. • Consolidation, inter-company transactions and reconciliations including foreign currency accounting. • Ensure accuracy of financial statements in accordance with GAAP and compliance to internal policies. • Mange Fixed Assets. BGRT and Excise returns. Oracle implementation team member. • Interface with management in various departments, including casino, purchasing, AP, IT and legal. • Analyzes financial information detailing assets, liabilities, and capital. • Prepares balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports to summarize current and projected company financial position. • Audits, contracts, orders, and vouchers, and prepare reports to substantiate individual transactions prior to monthly close process. • Establishes, modifies, documents, and coordinates the implementation of accounting and accounting control procedures. • Handles payroll timekeeping and processing. Documents financial transactions by entering account information. • Recommends financial actions by analyzing accounting options. • Summarizes current financial status by collecting information preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports. • Substantiates financial transactions by auditing documents. • Maintains accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures. • Guides accounting clerical staff by coordinating activities and answering questions. • Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzes account information. • Securing financial information by completing data base backups. • Maintaining financial security by following internal controls. Prepares payments by verifying documentation, and requesting disbursements. • Answers accounting procedure questions by researching and interpreting accounting policy and regulations. • Complies with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions. • Prepares special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends. • Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping financial information confidential. • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviews professional publications; establish personal networks; participate in professional societies. • Remain well-mannered and well-groomed as per department and company standards at all times. • Adhere to the company policies and procedures and comply with the Code of Conduct. • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualification Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. • Must have at least Two (2) to Five (5) years general ledger accounting experience. • Qualified to sit for the CPA exam, however CPA license is not required. • Team player who responds quickly to demands and thrives in a high-pressure work environment. • Able to multi-task.
