| Job Duties: | Review and interpret rough sketches or plans to create and edit drawings as part of quality assurance of company engineering work product. Creates site development plans, site grading plans, sections with surfaces and 3D modeling for planning and analysis, water, storm water and sanitary sewer systems, drainage and storm water control features. Conducts value engineering. Prepares and reviews drawings and documents to assure compliance with federal standards and federal and local regulatory requirements for the design and construction of various civil infrastructure facilities. Estimates time and costs of completing projects. Assist project managers or principles with review of design projects for constructability and quality assurance. Reports on project progress and budget matters to project managers, licensed civil or principal engineers. Assists with analyzing and evaluating contractor claims, change orders, payments, labor and safety issues. Assists senior project managers or principal engineers as required such as observation of construction site to monitor progress and other duties per contract documents. |
