| Job Duties: | Coordinates activities involved with procuring merchandise/goods for re-sale. Confers with vendors to obtain product information, such as price, availability, and delivery schedule. Negotiate prices, discount terms and transportation arrangements for merchandise. Examine, select, order and purchase at the most favorable price merchandise consistent with quality, quantity, specification requirements and other factors. Coordinates with sales personnel to obtain information about customer needs and preferences. Prepares purchase orders. Maintains manual and computerized procurement records, such as items purchased, costs, delivery, product quality and inventories. Monitor and analyze sales records, trends, or economic conditions to anticipate consumer buying patterns and determine what the company will sell and how much inventory is needed. Approve invoices for payment. Help in answering phone, take and process customers orders by phone as well as assist walk-in customers. May be required to perform other jobs. |
