Job Duties: | Job Brief: Mechanical technician job description and profile. A mechanical technician takes care of the machines in an industry and ensures that they are working optimally. His job profile includes installation of machines and machines parts as well as their maintenance and repair. Duties: (1) Prepare parts sketches and write work orders and purchase requests to be furnished by outside contractor (2) Permitting compliance with safety requirements and liaison and coordination with other Departments as required. (3) Ensures equipment, materials and tools are on-hand for work execution. Reports resources and time utilized, job scope expansion, rework or deferred maintenance as required; also keeping all tasks & activities logged and up-dated. (4) Implementation of routine PM checks including vibration & temperature inspections on designated rotating equipment and ensuring logging or recording of all readings; includes preliminary assessment and reportage on as found conditions. (5) Repairs to other static equipment as required – valves, pipe-work, pressure vessels and tanks and such-like. (6) Supervises On-site Contractor work execution inclusive of crane rigging and lifting operations as designated. (7) Review project instructions and blueprints to ascertain test specifications, procedures, and objectives, and test nature of technical problems, such as redesign. (8) Review project instructions and specifications to identify, modify and plan requirements fabrication, assembly and testing. (9) Devise, fabricate, and assemble new or modified mechanical components for products, such as industrial machinery or equipment, and measuring instruments. |

Qualification Requirements: | Requirements: •High School diploma or equivalent of minimum 24 months of related experience preferred •Able to Show expertise in working with team and independently •Able to resolve problem motor, pump, conveyor and hydraulic problems. •Able to ensure high level technical support to lower level technicians, ensure mechanical operations, standards and controls are maintained at high quality •Able to handle and comply with company safety guidelines and procedures. •Able to repair and perform preventive maintenance as per established standards. •Able to Check equipment and operating systems and correct wherever necessary. •Use hand tools like power tools and rigging equipment daily. •Weld using cutting torch. •Able to manage communication with all level technicians relations •Able to work all shifts flexibly when job demands. |
