| Job Duties: | Plan daily, weekly or monthly work schedules in sequence of operation. Checks incoming supplies for quality, quantity and damage. Confers with the Warehouse Manager / Supervisor in determining how many work assignments can be in progress, establishing deadlines and priorities. Plans and organizes storage areas for efficient, logical and safe storage of all supplies, including specialized stock such as perishable foods, disposable goods, and equipment. Ensure hygiene standards laid down by the Company, Airlines and the legislation’s are strictly followed. Receive and review requisitions, invoices, substituting items when requested items is not available; order supplies in accordance with established re-order levels to maintain sufficient quantity on hand to fill anticipated needs. Investigate complaints regarding quantity or quality of goods received. Responsible for delivery of all requisitioned goods to specified locations. Participate in inventory and stock control system. Maintain, and may perform, clerical functions involving posting, recording of inventory, and auditing invoices and purchase requisitions for compliance and accuracy. Maintain HACCP quality system and bin card system for all goods received, including direct issue items. May operate light or heavy trucks, forklift, and other motor vehicle and office machines. Must obtain a driver’s license. Communicate directly with purchasing department / chefs regarding all vendor communications received. Ensure that all safety codes, hygiene regulations and company policies are followed. Ensure stock rotation, maintenance of the FIFO system, date marking, requisition forms, store requisition forms, direct issue items, quality standard goods, and taking the temperature of goods upon receiving. Carry out other related tasks as directed. |
