Job Title: Quality Assurance Coordinator
Job Duties: Reports employees whose conduct, behavior or work habits are in violation of established sanitation and hygiene standards. The QA Coordinator will confer with the QA Manager and appropriate department manager in order to effect prompt correction of any violation of sanitation and hygiene rules. Conducts continuous tests to ensure optimum compliance with regards to established temperature maintenance and control. Temperature control throughout the facility must be recorded whenever appropriate. Temperature variances must be reported to the QA Manager and appropriate department manager so that immediate corrective action may be taken. Determines that cleaning schedules for all areas of the facilities have been developed, posted and are being enforced. The QA Coordinator verifies that all cleaning has been done thoroughly, correctly, and in a timely fashion. Deviations from the established schedules must be brought to the attention of the QA Manager and appropriate department manager. Conduct periodic and random weight checks on all products prepared for airline customers and record the findings of these evaluations as prescribed by the company’s quality assurance programs. Conduct periodic and unannounced inspections of the facilities to ensure compliance with company sanitation and hygiene standards as well as Federal and local Government rules and regulations. Any deviation of discrepancy must be brought to the attention of the QA Manager and appropriate department manager for immediate corrective action. Corrective action must be verified and documented by the QA Manager as necessary. Conduct periodic cooling chain test to ascertain that proper temperatures are maintained in food products from preparations to delivery to the aircraft. Inspection of food products and temperature evaluations must be conducted unannounced and at random. Results of this examination must be recorded and in the event of less than acceptable standards, corrective action must be imitated promptly. Observe and record the performance of employees in the airport operating areas. Unannounced and random checks must be performed to ascertain employee’s observance of safety rules and regulations as they pertain to driving on the ramp, approaching and moving away from aircraft, loading and unloading of aircraft and the handling of airline customer equipment and supplies. Deviations from accepted appearance and conduct or general performance of the employee’s responsibilities must be reported to the QA Manager and appropriate department manager for further handling. Ensure hygiene standards laid down by the Company, Airlines and the legislations are strictly followed. Checks for periodic calibration of test equipment such as; thermometers and scales to ensure accuracy. Assists the QA Manager in conducting periodic and unannounced hygiene inspection of the vendor’s facility to ensure compliance with LSG hygiene standards as well as local Government rules and regulations. Assists in the training of employees on company sanitation & hygiene policies, procedures, and standards. Assists in the area of customer services as required by the mission of the respective department within the company. Performs other related duties as may be required by the mission of the company.

Qualification Requirements: Must be proficient in the use of the English language (written and oral). Must have good communications skills. Must have good organizational skills. Must be able to make independent, well thought out decisions, as well as the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Must also have the ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral diagram, or schedule form. Must be dependable and flexible. Must be able to work under pressure. Must have good mathematical skills. Must have ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedures manuals. Must be able to write routine reports and correspondence; and to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the company. Must have strong leadership abilities so as to be proficient in enforcing company policies and procedures. Must have knowledge of Federal and Local Government regulations regarding sanitation and hygiene. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Graduation from a recognized college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in public or business administration, health sciences or related fields and two (2) years of professional experience in sanitation, hygiene and quality oriented standards for a food services; or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the preferable knowledge, abilities and skills.
