Job Title: Food Service Supervisor
Job Duties: The Food Service Supervisor assists the Operations Manager for ensuring that the respective shift of the operations department are working in a coordinated and timely manner, with special emphasis on keeping track of staff assignments and distribution of resources in the department, as well as making sure sufficient staff is available on every shift to meet all flight requirements. Assists in the planning, scheduling assignments and directing work performance and task assignments of the staff. Supervisor responsibilities which requires input on appraising performance of employees; assist in recognizing and rewarding employees, assist in administering records and disciplinary action when necessary, as well as addressing complaints and solving problems accurately. Inspect meals to verify conformance with specifications, direct setup and adjustments to meals as required by airline. Assist in the review process of operations schedules and estimates manpower necessary to complete tasks. Interpret company policies for employees and enforce training in safety regulation. Recommend measures to improve Operations methods, equipment performance and quality of work. Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department or work crew. Maintain time and production records of respective shift. Confer with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments. Assist in the recording of all special flight information on log book in advance and ensure information is forwarded to appropriate departments and managers. Keep informed on all incoming communications and distribute information accordingly. Assist in maintaining communication with customer before and during any irregularity to ensure the customer’s satisfaction with service. Communicate with kitchen staff regarding special meal requirements. Perform general documentation work, including but not limited to investigating all accidents, preparing accident report and notifying the Operations Manager. Conduct random check of RAMP safety at Airport’s flight line. Performs other duties as required based on mission of the company.

Qualification Requirements: Graduation from a recognized college or university with an Associate’s degree or diploma in culinary arts, and few months to 1 year of food catering experience, preferably in an airline catering industry, including a few months to 1 year in a supervisory capacity; or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provided the preferable knowledge, abilities and skills. Proficient in the use of the English language (written and oral). Good communication skills with acceptable telephone manner. Good organizational skills. Ability to make independent, well thought out decisions. Must be able to work under pressure. Must be dependable and flexible.
