Job Title: Air Condition Technician
Job Duties: Install and repair industrial and commercial refrigerating and air conditioning systems. Braze or solder parts to repair defective joints and leaks. Observe and test system operation, using gauges and instruments. Test lines, components, and connections for leaks. Dismantle malfunctioning systems and test components, using electrical, mechanical and pneumatic testing equipment. Adjust or replace worn or defective mechanisms and part, and reassemble repaired systems. Read blueprints to determine location, size capacity, and type of components needed to build refrigeration and air condition system. Supervise and instruct assistants. Install wiring to connect components to an electric power source. Perform mechanical overhauls and refrigeration system. Does other related duties assigned. Obtain and maintain required certifications. Comply with all applicable standards, policies, and procedures, including safety procedures and the maintenance of a clean work area. repair or replace defective equipment, components, or wiring Test electrical circuits and components for continuity. Reassemble and test equipment following repairs. Inspect and test system to verify system compliance with plans and specification and to detect and locate malfunctions. Discuss heating, cooling system malfunctions with users to isolate problems or to verify that malfunctions have been corrected. Inspect and test systems to verify system compliance with plans and specifications or to detect and locate malfunctions. Record and report time, materials, faults, deficiencies, or other unusual occurrences on work orders. Install and test automatic, programmable, or wireless thermostats in residential or commercial buildings to minimize energy usage for heating or cooling. Qualification Requirements: At least one (1) to two (2) years minimum work experience as Aircon & Ref. Technician with minimal supervision. Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance. Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications and programming. Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models. Related Experience Previous workrelated skill, knowledge, or experience is required for these occupations.
