| Job Title: | School and Daycare Accountant |
| Job Duties: | Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards (including preparation of financial reports for the Board of Directors). Provide reports to management regarding the school and daycare finances. Establish tables of accounts and assign entries to proper accounts. Develop, implement, modify, and document record-keeping and accounting systems, making use of current computer technology. Compute taxes owed and prepare tax returns, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting and other tax requirements. Advise the Board in areas such as compensation, employee benefits, the design of accounting or data processing systems, and long-range tax plans. Develop, maintain, and analyze budgets, and prepare periodic reports that compare budget to actual costs. Assist the Board of Directors in analyzing the operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations, to project future revenue and expenses and to provide advice. |
