Job Title: FACILITY MAINTENANCE
Job Duties: Transfer tools, parts, equipment, and supplies to and from work stations and other areas. See more occupations related to this task. Hold or supply tools, parts, equipment, and supplies for other workers. . Knowledgeable of construction, installation, maintenance and repair occupations. General maintenance and construction work including, but not limited to lifting heavy objects, operating machinery, keeping the job site clean and free of debris. Construct, erect, installs and repairs structures and fixtures of wood, plywood and wallboard using carpenter’s tools and power tools. Studies blue prints, sketches or building plans for information pertaining to types of materials required. Performs any combination of the following duties on construction project, usually working in utility capacity by transferring from one task to another where demands require worker with varied experience and procedures while conducting any and all of the above evolutions. Shape or cut materials to specified measurements, using hand tools, machines, or power saw. Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean environment. Measure and mark cutting lines on materials, using ruler, pencil, chalk, and marking gauge. Install structures and fixtures, such as windows, frames, flooring, and trim, or hardware, using carpenter’s hand and power tools. Verify trueness of structure, using plumb bob and level. Build or repair cabinets, doors, frameworks, floors, and other wooden fixtures used in buildings, using woodworking machines, carpenter’s hand tools, and power tools. Assemble and fasten materials to make framework or props, using hand tools and wood screws, nails, dowel pins, or glue. Remove damaged or defective parts or sections of structures and repair or replace, using hand tools. Inspect ceiling or floor tile, wall coverings, siding, glass, or woodwork to detect broken or damaged structures. O-Net: Perform work involving the skills of two or more maintenance or craft occupations to keep machines, mechanical equipment, or the structure of an establishment in repair. Duties may involve pipe fitting; boiler making; insulating; welding; machining; carpentry; repairing electrical or mechanical equipment; installing, aligning, and balancing new equipment; and repairing buildings, floors, or stairs.Assemble, install, or repair wiring, electrical or electronic components, pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, or equipment.Plan and lay out repair work, using diagrams, drawings, blueprints, maintenance manuals, or schematic diagrams. Perform general cleaning duties of buildings or properties. Paint or repair roofs, windows, doors, floors, woodwork, plaster, drywall, or other parts of building structures. Operate cutting torches or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.
