| Job Duties: | Performs any combination of following duties aboard watercraft. Moves controls or turns handwheels to raise or lower passenger or vehicle landing ramps or kelp-cutter mechanism. Splices and repairs cables and ropes, using handtools and examines cables that holds vessels in tow and tightens cables to ensure vessels are snug. Secure anchor ropes and fenders. Arrange tanks and dive equipment in the boat and loads or unloads material from the watercraft. Assist and ask customers come down and up from and to the upper deck. Secure, assists and help customer's request in diving operations. Assist customers for water, tea and snacks. Check and observe divers in case of emergency and may tour decks during watch to caution passengers engaged in unsafe practices, and ensures departure of passengers at end of voyage. Check basic points, arranging and cleaning boat, sweeps and washes decks, using broom, brushes, mops, and firehose. |
