| Job Duties: | Operate tractor vehicles to safely haul various ocean cargo equipment including but not limited to 20', 40', and 45' dry, refrigerated, open top, flat rack, flat bed container and trailer equipment. - Conducts proper preventative maintenance on a regular basis to ensure the vehicles are running safely and properly on roads. Responsible for making sure all proper licenses and other regulatory training/certificates are kept up-to-date to maintain constant legal compliance with CNMI and Federal regulations at all times. Practice safe driving and operational habits and techniques to ensure that the public at large is kept as safe as possible from property and personal injury wherever a vehicle and related equipment are in his charge. Make use of all available safety devices and equipment are employed properly to ensure the public and tractor operator is kept safe. Receive, execute and report dispatch instructions with utmost professionalism. This includes properly documenting dispatch activities on all customary forms as instructed and reporting any discrepancies and/or situations that can affect timely movement of cargo. Maintain constant and optimum hazmat safety and security awareness at all times in TRANSPORTATION SECURITY to help defend the public at large against any acts of terrorism as per training and education provided by the employer and government officials. Also, to report to proper authorities any suspicious or actual activity, as per training/regulations that may be detrimental to TRANSPORTATION SECURITY. Perform warehouse and less than truck load deliveries whenever there are no tractor trailer activities. This entails following all best practices in regards to TRANSPORTATION SECURITY. Other related duties as assigned. |
