| Job Duties: | SUMMARY: Under the direct supervision of the Shop and Ship Supervisors, performs routine and extensive preventive maintenance and repair. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. • Installs, maintains and repairs machinery, equipment, physical structures and pipe and electrical systems following blueprints, manuals and schematic drawings using handtools, power tools, hoist, crane, and measuring and testing instruments. • Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment using electrical and electronic test equipment. • Listens for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discusses machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problem or repaired parts, following specifications and blueprints using precision measuring instruments and handtools. • Dismantles machines or equipment, replaces defective parts and motors and adjust feed mechanisms. • Fabricate replacement and new parts for facility machinery. • Fabricate, erect, install and maintain facility machinery. • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on facility machinery. • Troubleshoot and repair. • Troubleshoots and completes repairs of generator in the field. • Effectively diagnose, repair, adjust and recondition diesel engines, engine systems and components. • Apply a variety of skills to maintain complex electro-mechanical systems and equipment used to produce and support electrical generated power. • Solves complex problems involving troubleshooting and repair of diesel generator sets while working independently. • Rebuilds and reconditions components common to electrical power generating systems. • Overhaul diesel engines including badly damaged and frozen engines and restore to tory tolerances using high quality workmanship and working with high efficiency. • Plans, carries out and evaluates preventive maintenance schedules for all vehicles and mechanical equipment. • Cleans and maintains tools and equipment used in the work. • Completes all necessary documentation in a neat and timely manner. • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations as well as company policies and procedures. • Perform other duties as required. • Follow defined Safety, Health and Environmental policies and procedures. |

| Qualification Requirements: | POSITION MINIMUM QUALIFICATION • High School Diploma or Trade School. • Minimum of 3 years experience is preferred. • Must be able to operate electric hand tools. • 5G-6G, TIG, MIG or SMAW certified. • Confined Space Entry Safety Training certified. • Clean Police Clearance. |
