Job Duties: Experienced and skilled in preparing Japanese cuisine including but not limited to sushi, sashimi & tempura. Must know cutting and preparations techniques for each type of fish used in sushi rolls as well as how to prepare rice, sauces, & seasonal ingredients- must sure that ingredients are fresh, colorful & always on stock, that all important knives are sharp & clean & that all equipment is in working order.Cooking and preparing(Japanese foods) & others for the restaurant menu & manage foods, cook stuffs in quantity according to menu. Seasons food according to recipes or company needs. Prepares any necessary sauces or accompaniments before service meal begins.Carve and trim meat such as beef, chicken, pork for hot or cold service. Dress fish or cut prior to cooking. Inspect & clean food preparation & serving areas to ensure observance of safe, sanitary food handling practices.
High School Diploma Required? Undetermined
Qualification Requirements: 2 to 4 years experience, good health & good moral character, with valid food handler certificate current police clearance, with reliable transportation and must agree to drug test. Can work on flexible hours including holidays, weekends and night time duty.
