| Job Duties: | Summary of Job Responsibilities: Reports to the Engineering Manager. Responsible in supervising a team of engineers as they develop, test, modify, and create solutions to technical problems. Detailed Duties and Responsibilities: • Assists the Engineering Manager in supervising and lead engineers, scientists and technicians who design machinery, plan and develop civil projects, and oversee production and quality control. Job Duties: • Implements prescribe systems and procedures in the construction, production, operations, quality assurance, testing, or maintenance in the construction projects. • Directs the research and development of construction techniques and technology, new products and procedures. • Provide assistance in recruitment and selection processes in hiring engineers and support staff. • Write performance reviews and solve internal issues of personnel under his direct supervision. • Ensures implementation of lay out project specifications. • Enforces detailed plans to accomplish goals. • Provides data use in analysis of market demand and available resources. • Assists in the preparation departmental budgets, bids, and contracts. • Responsible in controlling expenditures. • Assists in the review and recommendation of contracts. • Prepare project cost estimates. • Contributes/provides input for the Improvement operational processes and advance scientific research. • Provide ideas for the development, improvement and enhancement of systems and personnel efficiency. • Conducts evaluation of technical accuracy of work. • Provides inputs, suggestions for the establishment administrative policies, procedures, and standards. • Coordinate activities of unit with other units or organizations. • With prior approval secured, confer with higher levels of management. |

| Qualification Requirements: | • College Graduate; • Diploma in Engineering Technology; • Minimum three (3) to five (5) years' experience related in Engineering field; • Minimum of two years in Supervisory Experience; • Good working knowledge of Maintenance Management and Cost Accounting systems; • Strong analytical skills; • Ability to analyze performance and cost data, develop unit costs, and establish cost effective work practices based on performance and cost data; • Ability to interpret and apply blueprints, drawings, specifications, standards and regulations; Computer knowledge experience; Good working knowledge of Work Safe Regulations, as it pertains to the work involved; • Ability to work independently and to accomplish tasks and assignments; • Ability to deal effectively with employees, City staff, contractors and the public; |
