| Job Duties: | Basic duties and responsibilities shall include but not limited to the following: Prepare, season and cook various dishes and traditional Japanese dishes such as soups, meats, vegetables, or desserts in restaurants including preparation of sushi and sashimi. Inspect and clean food preparation areas, such as equipment and work surfaces, or serving areas to ensure safe and sanitary foodhandling practices. Ensure food is stored and cooked at correct temperature by regulating temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters. Weigh, measure and mix ingredients according to recipes or personal judgment. Ensure freshness of food and ingredients by checking for quality, keeping tract of old and new items and rotating stock. Portion, arrange, and garnish food, and serve food to waiters/waitress or patrons. Performs other related duties as assigned by Management. |

| Qualification Requirements: | Knowledgeable and experienced in making Japanese Food (knowledge in making Sushi and Sashimi is an advantage). Must be able to work with flexible schedules on weekends, nights and holidays. Employees in these occupations need anywhere from a few months to one year of working with experienced employees. A recognized apprenticeship program may be associated with these occupations. Experienced as a Cook in a Japanese restaurant. Must have a valid food handler certificate. College graduate or High School equivalent is preferred. Can communicate well and has the ability to understand and speak basic Japanese language preferred. |
