| Job Duties: | Check with customers to ensure that they are enjoying their meals and take actions to resolve problems. Write customer's order on order slip. Take orders from customers for food and beverage. Serve food or beverages to customers and prepare or serve specialty dishes at tables. Present menus to customers and answer questions about menu items, making recommendations upon request. Clean tables or counters after customer is finished. Silverware set-up based on standards for individual tables as well as for large parties. Inform customers of daily specials. Stock service areas w/supplies such as coffee, food, tableware, and linens. Assist host or hostess by answering phones, take reservations, take-out orders, and by greeting, seating and thanking guests. Assist in food preparation such as portioning desserts and brewing coffee or tea. Escort customers to their tables. Fill salt, pepper, sugar, cream, condiment and napkin containers. |
