| Job Title: | Computer Network Support Specialist |
| Job Duties: | This position is under the direct supervision of the General Manager. Oversees the daily performance of computer systems. Configures wide area network (WAN) or local area network (LAN) routers or related equipment. Identify and troubleshoot the causes of networking or connectivity problems for users or user groups using diagnostic testing software and equipment. Provides telephone support related to networking or connectivity issues. Evaluates local area network (LAN) or wide area network (WAN) performance data to ensure sufficient availability or speed, to identify network problems, or for disaster recovery purposes . Analyze network data to determine network usage, disk space availability, or server function. Install network software or equipment for employee use, performing or ensuring proper installation of cables, operating systems, or appropriate software. Maintain records of daily data communication transactions, problems and remedial actions taken, or installation activities. Reads technical manuals, confer with users, or conduct computer diagnostics to investigate and resolve problems or to provide technical assistance and support. Performs routine maintenance or standard repairs to networking components or equipment. Refer major hardware or software problems or defective products to vendors or technicians for service. Responsible for generating daily inventory transfer reports; monthly itemized sales report and other reports as requested by management. Research hardware or software products to meet technical networking or security needs. Run monthly network reports. Performs other related duties as assigned. |
