| Job Title: | Biomed Engineer Technician |
| Job Duties: | Repairs, calibrates, and maintains medical equipment and Instrumentation used in the health care delivery field by performing the following duties. Essential duties and responsibilities include in the following: Inspects, installs medical and related technical equipment in medical facilities. Services various equipment and apparatus such as patient monitors, Electrocardiographs, blood gas analyzers, x-ray units, defibrillators, electro surgical units, anesthesia apparatus, pacemakers, blood pressure transducers, Spiro meters, sterilizers, diathermy equipment and other related technical paraphernalia. Repairs calibrates, and maintains equipment. Safety tests medical euipment and health care facility's structural environment to ensure patient and staff safety from electrical or mechanical hazards. Consults with medical or research staff to ascertain that equipment functions properly and safely. Demonstrates and explains correct operation of equipment to medical personnel. Modifies or develops instruments or devices, under supervision of medical or engineering staff. Works as salesperson or service technician for equipment manufacturers or their sales representatives. Travels as needed and required by company. Maintains Preventive Maintenance program on equipment. Other related duties maybe assigned. |
