| Job Title: | Accounting Specialist |
| Job Duties: | Operate computers programmed with accounting software to record, store, and analyze information. Check figures, postings, and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy, and proper codes. Comply with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations. Operate 10-key calculators, typewriters, and copy machines to perform calculations and produce documents. Receive, record, and bank cash, checks, and vouchers. Compute, classify, and record numerical data to keep the company’s financial records updated and complete. Specific tasks: Classify, record, and summarize numerical and financial data to compile and keep financial records, using journals and ledgers or computers. Compile statistical, financial, accounting or auditing reports and tables pertaining to such matters as cash receipts, expenditures, accounts payable and receivable, and profits and losses. Operate computers programmed with the company’s accounting software to record, store, and analyze information. Comply with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations. Prepare and submit monthly reports to the US Department of Transportation as required under 14 CFR 241, also known as the T100 Report. Prepare and submit timely reports to the CNMI Department of Finance Revenue and Taxation and Guam Revenue and Taxation. Such reports include monthly Business Gross Receipt Tax and Quarterly Witholding Tax. Prepare and submit timely reports to the US Internal Revenue Service such as Employers Quarterly proper codes Check figures, postings, and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy, and proper codes. Debit, credit, and total accounts on computer spreadsheets and databases, using specialized accounting software. Receive, record, and bank cash, checks, and vouchers. Code documents according to company procedures. Reconcile or note and report discrepancies found in records. Perform other related duties assigned by the supervisor. |
