| Job Duties: | Perform buying duties when necessary. Prepare purchase orders and send copies to suppliers and to departments originating requests. Compare suppliers' bills with bids and purchase orders to verify accuracy. Prepare, maintain, and review purchasing files, reports and price lists. Check shipments when they arrive to ensure that orders have been filled correctly and that goods meet specifications. back to top Responsible for the efficient and economical performance of all assigned duties with regard to purchase, handling and storage of aircraft parts and materials and the associated paperwork, and with the shipping and receiving of aircraft parts/materials and the associated paperwork. Specific tasks: • Assure the proper identification of parts, materials and supplies during issue. • Assure the correct identification of incoming parts, materials and supplies. • Provide the correct storage of parts, materials and supplies including the proper segregation and identification of all parts in the stores room. • Collect and maintain on file the Maintenance Releases accompanying incoming parts on which work was performed by an outside, appropriately rated, repair station. • Maintain the storage areas in a clean and orderly manner. • Coordinate with the Chief Inspector for the proper control of incoming parts, materials and supplies, and request receiving inspections to be performed. • Maintain all equipment/parts in the stockroom in a clean, orderly manner and replaces/repairs same to a safe and accurate operating condition. • Correctly package all units, components, and/or materials to be sent to vendors or repair agencies for overhaul, repair, or certification. He/she is also responsible for the shipment of components and materials as directed by the Director of Maintenance. • Be responsible for maintaining the calibration of precision tools and equipment. Maintains a tool calibration list, oversees tool issuance and accountability and assures that tools are maintained in a safe and secure order to ensure serviceability. • Be responsible for provisioning of spares and materials for aircraft and equipment maintenance. • Provide tracking of parts and equipment while in transit to an AOG aircraft. • Perform other duties as requested by the Parts Procurement Manager. |

| Qualification Requirements: | Require training in vocational schools, related on-the-job experience, or an associate's degree. Previous work-related skill, knowledge, or experience is required for these occupations. Employees in these occupations usually need one or two years of training involving both on-the-job experience and informal training with experienced workers. These occupations usually involve using communication and organizational skills to coordinate, supervise, manage, or train others to accomplish goals. • High School diploma. Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred. • With at least 2 years of work experience in Parts Procurement Specialist. Experience is US Air Carrier as defined in 14 CFR 119 highly preferred. • Must be willing and able to work flexible hours and a combination of shifts within a 24 hour period, including weekends and holidays, as may be required by the company. • Computer literate. Must be proficient in Windows applications. |
