| Job Title: | Airconditioning Technician |
| Job Duties: | Perform work related to repair, maintain and provide technical attention to all electrical and mechanical refrigeration systems of the hotel-freezer, fridges, ice makers, fan oil units, chiller etc. Attend to guest complaints as well as maintenance requests from all departments. Maintain preventively all air-conditioning and refrigeration systems within the hotel. Check on performance of refrigeration systems and components. Verify all door closing systems on walk in coolers/freezer (door gaskets/latches). Check and maintain all defrosting systems and automation of ice makers. Ensure routing cleaning of fan coil units and air-handling unit filters. Check on performance of air-conditioning and chill water systems. Maintain logged records of all of the air-conditioning and refrigeration machinery. Do a daily walk around the air-conditioning machinery to ensure good working condition and prevent losses. Make sure that all materials needed to perform the jobs are available prior to work commencing. Maintain Engineering spare in a safe, clean and orderly manner. Assist in energy conservation program and take equipment readings as per your working schedule. Document all work performed and any spare parts used. Overhauling of air-condition/refrigeration equipment and systems. Check all refrigeration and oil levels and control of major repairs. Assists and inform Engineering Storekeeper on purchase of parts. Comply with all applicable standards, policies, and procedures, including safety procedures and the maintenance of a clean work area. May assist in the training of lower-level employees and others. Performs other task or special project as determined and assigned by supervisor or management |
