Job Title: Food & Beverage Supervisor
Job Duties: Supervises and coordinates activities of food and beverage service personnel to provide professional, courteous and efficient service to customers. Schedules dining reservations and arranges parties or special services for diners. Assigns work tasks and coordinates activities of food and beverage personnel. Inspects restaurant supplies for tables and serving stations. Trains food and beverage personnel to ensure service to customers and schedules work hours of them. Maintains food and equipment inventories. Assists in requisitioning supplies and planning menus. Prepares food and beverage orders. Totals receipts at end of shift, verifies sales and clears cash register. Greets guests, escorts them to tables, provides menus, collects payment from customers, and performs other related duties as assigned.
High School Diploma Required? Undetermined
Qualification Requirements: A college graduate or equivalent preferred. Minimum 1-2 years supervisory experience in a large-volume full service hotel restaurant service required. Knowledge of Food & Beverage POS systems required. Ability to use equipment/materials properly and adhere to safety procedures. Ability to observe a problem, determine its cause and work out a solution. Concentration, alertness and attention to detail required. Ability to speak, read and write in English and perform mathematical calculations. Fluency in Mandarin, Japanese and/or Korean is preferred. Ability to function, work and communicate well in a team effectively. The position requires examination and clearances for Food Handlers certificate before hire. Regular attendance required. Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
