Job Title: Accounting Supervisor
Job Duties: Supervises and coordinates accounting activities, inclusive of AR, AP, taxes, payroll, financial reporting to obtain financial data for use in maintaining financial records of the hotel. Prepares and reviews monthly financial statements, ensures proper accounting for inventory, and performs variance analysis, general ledger review and reconciliation. Manages SAP job costing system and ensures proper accounting procedures are followed. Responsible for timely and accurate preparation of journal entries, monitoring transactions, reconciling complex accounts, and resolving any discrepancies. Identifies weaknesses in internal controls or procedures, and makes recommendation for corrective actions. Instructs clerks in operational procedures and property management systems. Observes performances of clerks to ensure adherence to hotel policies and established procedures. Coordinates with other departments to ensure the hotel activities, and performs other related duties as assigned.
High School Diploma Required? Undetermined
Qualification Requirements: Must be a college graduate in accountancy. Minimum 3 years supervisory experience in accountancy required preferably in a large-volume full service hotel. Strong knowledge of accepted accounting practices and principles and tax laws required. High proficiency in computer accounting systems and MS Office required. Ability to observe a problem, determine its cause and work out a solution. Concentration, alertness and attention to detail required. Ability to read, write in English and perform mathematical calculations. Ability to function, work and communicate well in a team effectively. Regular attendance required. Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
