| Job Duties: | 1.Design, measure, fit, and adapt lenses and frames for client according to written optical prescription or specification. 2. Assist client with selecting frames. Measure customer for size of eyeglasses and coordinate frames with facial and eye measurements and optical prescription. 3. Prepare work order for optical laboratory containing instructions for grinding and mounting lenses in frames. 4. Verify exactness of finished lens spectacles. 5. Adjust frame and lens position to fit client. 6. May shape or reshape frames. 7. Recommend specific lenses, lens coatings, and frames to suit client needs. 8. Manufacture and edge eyeglasses lens. 9. Quality control processed eyeglasses. |
