Job Title: GROUND SUPPORT EQUIPMENT (GSE) MANAGER
Job Duties: Manage the maintenance of all assets used by various operating departments and customers, to meet their operational requirements, while supporting all operations of POI Aviation. Oversee all aspects of ground support equipment and tooling design specification, procurement, operation, and maintenance of GSE used for launch vehicle production and operations. Implement and manage the strategic maintenance program based on industry best practices, with an emphasis on preventive and predictive maintenance. Participate and contribute in the budgetary process which includes target setting, plan development and performance review of the GSE sections. Review the operation/performance/reliability of assets maintained constantly, to minimize unplanned downtime, pro-actively anticipate problems, and ensure safe operation and identify opportunities for improvement and unit cost reduction. Ensure that teams are adequately trained, equipped, and motivated so that the maintenance program can be accomplished in a safe, timely manner delivering high quality and cost-effective service. Monitor section performance against agreed maintenance indicators, such as asset utilization, maintenance cost, PM compliance, serviceability index, to ensure compliance and continuous improvement. Direct, maintain, and enforce the safety program for the maintenance department; review safety records to uphold standards of maximum safety within the operation. Conduct performance reviews to determine competence, knowledge, and contribution of the employee and put together relevant development plans to up-skill employees. Drive innovative solutions through team creativity and ensure a collaborative approach with other POI departments. Ensure that special projects that improve efficiency, reduce operating costs and support new ventures are executed according to the plan. Perform other duties and responsibilities as may be required or assigned.

Qualification Requirements: Graduate in an Engineering discipline (automobile, mechanical, electrical or electronic). 10+ years experience within a maintenance based organization preferably, ideally an aviation ground support handling industry. Knowledge and experience in a maintenance management system. Experience with design specification, procurement, operation, and maintenance of GSE. Exceptional organizational and analytical skills and a proven ability to drive complex projects with minimal oversight.
