Job Title: Maintenance Worker, Machinery
Job Duties: Monitors water quality and conduct appropriate testing under the supervision of that Unit Manager, knowledge in making adjustments on all operating valves, etc., testing of various parameters of the water treatment system such as chlorine levels, electrical conductivity, pH, etc., repair, adjust or replace treatment distribution equipment including pumps, motors, valves, meters, gauges, piping, fittings, tanks, pressure vessels, etc., disinfection of RO’s, storage tanks, distribution pumps, storage and distribution tanks, fittings, etc., completion and maintenance of reports, logs, journals, etc., collection, incubation and reading of bacteria samples, collection and processing of LAL samples, collection and processing of AAMI chemistry water samples, operation and adjustment of the electrical systems that support the process and distribution systems, effectively communicate with nursing regarding water treatment and distribution status, specify, track and order parts and supplies for inventory and repair or replacement, daily rounds and inspections. Operational knowledge of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems, knowledge of the theory of fluid dynamics, understand the mathematical relationships and common formulas of basic water treatment and distribution systems, know the specific operations of the water treatment and distribution systems unique to a dialysis unit, be familiar with infection control of hemodialysis facilities, pass the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency test for certified water treatment and distribution operators level II preferred, understand the plumbing code and plumbing and hemodialysis techniques, be able to demonstrate safe working techniques when working with electricity, be able to demonstrate proper plumbing and hemodialysis techniques especially when working with pvc, extensive experience of disposal of hazard waste per protocol, in-service train with Baxter bicarbonate distribution system, solar panel maintenance/construction with solester inverter experience, to accept and perform all other duties as may be assigned.

Qualification Requirements: Must be high school graduate or equivalent, must pass the U.S. EPA test for certified water treatment and distribution operators level II, preferred skills training in electrical, plumbing and other related trades, extensive work experience is required and must have a valid CNMI driver’s license.
