Job Title: Satellite Technician
Job Duties: Note differences in wire and cable colors so that work can be performed correctly. Test circuits and components of malfunctioning telecommunications equipment to isolate sources of malfunctions, using test meters, circuit diagrams, polarity probes, and other hand tools. Test repaired, newly installed, or updated equipment to ensure that it functions properly and conforms to specifications, using test equipment and observation. Drive crew trucks to and from work areas. Inspect equipment on a regular basis to ensure proper functioning. back to top Well versed in IBB LAN/WAN connectivity and interfacing into various satellite systems. Have a through understanding of Mast Control and SACDA operations. Prepares Various Monthly and Quarterly reports, maintains EITS, T/S CISCO router and other computer equipment. Well versed in various OSHA rules for industrial activities. Will act as the contract safety officer. Performs back up federal logistics function.Enter commands, using computer terminal, and activate controls on computer and peripheral equipment to integrate and operate equipment.
