| Job Duties: | Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematic drawings, or engineering instructions for assembling electronics units, applying knowledge of electronic theory and components. See more occupations related to this task. Identify and resolve equipment malfunctions, working with manufacturers or field representatives as necessary to procure replacement parts. See more occupations related to this task. Test electronics units, using standard test equipment, and analyze results to evaluate performance and determine need for adjustment. Oversees team of Engineering technicians performing operations and repairs on Hi-Power transmitters and associated equipment. See more occupations related to this task. Adjust or replace defective or improperly functioning circuitry or electronics components, using hand tools or soldering iron. See more occupations related to this task. Assemble, test, or maintain circuitry or electronic components, according to engineering instructions, technical manuals, or knowledge of electronics, using hand or power tools. Technician should be able to Tune High powered Transmitters and recognize any problems that may occur in Manual/Auto modes. Excellent knowledge of Electronics Circuits, RF fundamentals, Various test equipment, Curtain Antennas and a minimum of 6 years experience in the Shortwave Environment. Advises and assist Engineering & Facilities Technicians with troubleshooting and repair of equipment at the station. Shift work may be required. |

| Qualification Requirements: | Medium Preparation Needed. require training in vocational schools, related on-the-job experience, or an associate's degree. Previous work-related skill, knowledge, or experience is required for these occupations. Employees in these occupations usually need one or two years of training involving both on-the-job experience and informal training with experienced workers.
