| Job Title: | Antenna Rigger |
| Job Duties: | Signal or verbally direct workers engaged in hoisting and moving loads to ensure safety of workers and materials. Test rigging to ensure safety and reliability. See more occupations related to this task. Attach loads to rigging to provide support or prepare them for moving, using hand and power tools. Select gear such as cables, pulleys, and winches, according to load weights and sizes, facilities, and work schedules. See more occupations related to this task. Control movement of heavy equipment through narrow openings or confined spaces, using chainfalls, gin poles, gallows frames, and other equipment. Climb a variety of towers up to 400 feet and use associated equipment to repair curtain antennas and antenna tower structures. Maintain the high power broadcasting antennas and transmission lines to the highest standard. Inspect and repair antennas and associated equipment to anticipate problems and to resolve the deficiency. Exhibit all safety requirements for tower work. Perform other duties as the Transmitter Supervisor or Program Manager directs. |

Certified tower climbing certificate. A minimum of three (3) years specialized experience that demonstrates fieldwork, tower climbing and knowledge of structural loading and repair, use of cables, ropes, winches, blocks, pulleys, sheaves, hand power tools and welding. |
