| Job Duties: | Assist the Western Cuisine Section Chef and/or the Sous Chef in the preparation and presentation of Western Cuisine meals. Responsible for training other cooks in the preparation and presentation of Western Cuisine meals. Monitor sanitation practices to ensure that employees follow standards and regulations and check the quality of raw or cooked food products to ensure that standards are met. Estimate amounts and costs of required supplies, such as food and ingredients. Also, assist cooks or other workers in the preparation, cooking, garnishing, or presentation of food. Monitor, order or requisition food or other supplies needed to ensure efficient operation and determine production schedules and staff requirements necessary to ensure timely delivery of services. Check the quantity and quality of received products and determine how food should be presented and create decorative food displays. Performs other duties as assigned. |

| Qualification Requirements: | Minimum of two (2) years restaurant/hotel or banquet cooking experience in position of responsibility such as prep cook, line cook, or Sous Chef. Knowledge of gourmet foods and specialty dishes preferred. Bachelor's degree related on the profession such as major concentration in food preparation, management, nutrition or related field. 2-3 years of progressive experience in high-volume food production or catering, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience. Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays. |
