| Job Duties: | Assess and decide if clients’ applications for insurance coverage should be accepted. Issue insurance policies and keep detailed record of policies issued including underwriting notes. Sell various types of insurance policies to businesses and individuals. Interview prospective clients to obtain information about their financial resources and insurance needs. The physical condition of the person or property to be insured, and to discuss any existing coverage. Call on policy holders to deliver and explain policy, to analyze insurance program and suggest additions or changes, or to change beneficiaries. Seek out new clients and develop clientele by networking to find new customers and generate lists of prospective clients. Ensure that policy requirements are fulfilled and the completion of appropriate forms. Customize insurance programs to suite individual customers, often covering a variety of risks. |
