| Job Duties: | Assembles and tests electric motor and generator stators armature of rotors, inspect cores for defects and align laminations, using hammer and drift. Files burrs from core slots, using hand file, portable power file and scrapper. Line slots with sheets insulation and inserts coils unto slot. Tests winding motor-housing clearance, grounds and short circuit, using clearance gauge, growler, spring-steel blade, telephone receiver, insulation tester and resistance bridge. May rewind defective coils. Maybe designated according to motor part wounds as armature winder, rotor, winder and stator winder. |
