| Job Duties: | DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Assist with teaching dance programs making sure to take attendance and demonstrate proper skills. • Arrive to work at least 10 minutes prior to class and be prepared for dance sessions to begin. • Complete time sheets accurately, specifically, and promptly prior to payroll end. • Remain in communication with coordinators/supervisors including checking email daily. • Utilize organizational skills to stay prompt in deadlines to coordinator/supervisor. • Communicate effectively with parents on expectations and upcoming performances. • Assist in the planning and execution of the dance performances (includes turning in paperwork in a timely manner). • Assist in marketing and promoting the dance program. • Serve in a professional and courteous manner with the highest regard to the customer. • Attend staff meetings, trainings, and performances. • Provide advance notice if unable to do dance sessions. In the event of a needed absence, find a replacement and notify coordinator. • Dress appropriately for the type of class you are teaching. • Communicate parent/student concerns with supervisor immediately. • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Dance Coordinator and/or Supervisor. • Promote Character Counts and the Six Pillars of Character to all participants. • Be prepared to take over (lead) class in the event that the lead Supervisor is unable to teach last minute. Make sure to have music and agenda for each class. • Perform all job tasks within the rules and guidelines of the park district’s safety programs. • Work as a team player with co-workers and in conjunction with other departments. |

| Qualification Requirements: | Must be 16 years of age. • Must have at least one year experience instructing dance programs as an apprentice or dance instructor. • Must have ability to assist with dance programs. • Must keep availability open and commit to entire session (Summer, Fall, Winter/Spring) KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES • Comprehension of dance skills and techniques. • Understanding the principles of customer service. • Ability to communicate effectively with parents. Computer literate is a must. |
