| Job Duties: | •Supervise other engineers and crew members and train them for routine and emergency duties. •Perform monitoring activities to ensure that ships comply with international regulations and standards for life-saving equipment and pollution preventatives. •Prepare plans, estimates, design and construction schedules, and contract specifications, including any special provisions. •Check, test, and maintain automatic controls and alarm systems. •Evaluate operation of marine equipment during acceptance testing and shakedown cruises. •Managing, coordinating, and training a team of Marine Engineers and Technicians employed in the operation and maintenance of the fleet. •Preparation and project managing all technical and financial budgeting of shipyard, maintenance periods and dry docking of all vessels in the fleet. •Evaluating all engineering issues, producing detailed technical reports and recommendations to management, support companies, and contractors. •Implementing and managing the change from reactive to preventive and predictive maintenance. •Establishing and coordinating the maintenance and operation of all safety items and procedures in accordance with the Maritime “Code of Safe Working Practices”. |

| Qualification Requirements: | •At least 5 or more years of experience in a Senior Marine Engineering Management position in a Maritime sea going role with proven experience in planning and managing vessel refits and extended maintenance period. •A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or recognized equivalent in a related discipline and registered and licensed as a Professional Engineer either Chartered or Incorporated status •Have held an MCA or recognize equivalent Chief Engineers (Yacht) License for a minimum of 10 years •Hold a formal qualifications in Engineering and Project Management •Hold a qualification in Marine Surveying with a recognized body such as ABS, Lloyds, Bureau Veritas •Served a recognized Indentured Engineering Apprenticeship and be fully proficient in all aspects of machine shop maintenance and repair methods of sea going vessels •Hold a formal qualification in teaching and training adults. •Must be computer literate to highly advanced level in MS World, Excel, Access, Project |
