| Job Duties: | Check import/export documentation to determine cargo contents and classify goods. Prepare freight manifest showing freight weight, description, number of pkgs and transmit data to destination. Calculate weight weight, volume or cost of goods to be shipped. Determine method of shipments and prepare bill of lading, invoices and other shipping documents. Participate in cargo loading and unloading to ensure completeness of of load and even distribution of freight. Inspect and count items received or delivered and check them against invoices or other documents, recording shortages and rejecting damaged goods. keep record of all goods shipped, received and stored. Notify consignee of the arrival of freight and arrange delivery schedule. Retrieved stored items and trace lost shipments as necessary. Assemble container, crates, pallets used to transport freights such as machines, equipment and household goods and personal effects. Coordinate activities of workers engaged in packing and shipping merchandise. install straps, braces and padding to loads in order to prevent shifting or damaged during transit. Route received goods to first available carrier or to appropriate storage using using forklift, hand trucks or other equipment. |

| Qualification Requirements: | At least a few months to 1 year direct experience in freight forwarding or Import/Export environment. Must have knowledge and skills in Import/Export documentation. Must be knowledgeable in preparing shipping docs for Ocean shipment. Awareness of regulation affecting the International movement of cargo. Ability to Lift up to 50 Lbs frequently and greater than 75 Lbs occasionally. Standing and walking on non-climate controlled loading dock area for several hours at a time. Ensure customer's freight is delivered and picked-up timely and damage free. Must be flexible and willing to work overtime, weekend and holidays, if needed. Knowledge in Transportation Industry, corporate standard, products, and Import/Export regulations. |
