| Job Duties: | Verifies and balances entries and records of financial transactions reported by various hotel departments during day, using adding, bookkeeping and calculating machines. Check figures, postings, and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy, and proper codes. Operate computers programmed with accounting software to record, store, and analyze information Calculate, prepare, and issue bills, invoices, account statements, and other financial statements according to established procedures. Access computerized financial information to answer general questions as well as those related to specific accounts. Operate calculators, typewriters, and copy machines to perform calculations and produce documents. pay close attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy, adapt to changes in work environment, work as assignments and/or changes in priorities. Register registers, and assign rooms to guests. Issues room key and escort instruction to Bellhop. Date stamps, sorts and racks incoming mail and messages. Transmit and receives messages by telephone or telephone switchboard. Answers inquiries pertaining to hotel services, registration of guests, and travel directions. Keeps records of room availability and guests’ accounts. Makes and confirms reservations. Compute bills, collect payments and make post of any charges. |
