| Job Title: | Payroll Supervisor |
| Job Duties: | Maintain complete knowledge of payroll system and procedures. • Supervise Payroll staff and ensure that staff acquire the necessary skills and performance attributes, in line with business and personal development needs • Maintain a complete and accurate database of employee particulars and salary details. Liaise closely with the Human Resources Department regarding any payroll related matters. • Review time cards received from each department for authorization by Department Head, figures and totals. Resubmit amendments to the Department Head concerned for acknowledgement. • Verify overtime hours claimed against the “Request for Overtime” form and ensure that prior authorization has been granted; otherwise, resolve discrepancies with the Department Head concerned. • Review all Status Change Forms for completeness and accuracy of information before inputting data into the system; resolve discrepancies with Human Resources. • Assist in processing biweekly payroll by deadline through payroll software. • Timely preparation and submission of the following reports: a) Monthly payroll journal b) Monthly statutory deductions and remittances c) Tax report required by federal and local government • Prepare memo instructing Accounts Payable to raise salary checks and all statutory payments. • Maintain confidentiality of all information regarding payroll records. • Handle employee inquiries regarding paychecks according to department procedures. • Perform payroll and employee audit periodically. • Remain well-mannered and well-groomed as per department and company standards at all times. • Adhere to the company policies and procedures and comply with the Code of Conduct. • Perform other related duties as assigned. |

| Qualification Requirements: | • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Business Administration or equivalent experience in related field • 1-2 years or above of experience in Payroll in a sizable and well-known property. • Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience • Experience with ADP payroll systems and Kronos time keeping is a plus • Strong knowledge of tax reciprocity rules and regulations. • Understanding of the CNMI tax code. • High degree of accuracy, attention to detail and confidentiality • Excellent communication, interpersonal and decision making skills • Normal office hours of 9 am to 6 pm (M-F); occasionally on holidays due to payroll schedule • Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time while performing duties. • Team player who responds quickly to demands and thrives in a high-pressure work environment. • Able to multi-task. |
