Job Title: Tour Guide (Rota)
Job Duties: Greet and assist all walk-in and pre-booked customers. Attend to all customers’ queries and sales transactions in regards to optional tour and activities, products, prices, availability, product uses, and payment terms. Estimate or quote prices and discuss pricing, promotions, and discounts. Assist customers and coordinate with all related vendors and tour guides with reservation bookings. Prepare guest accommodations (hotel bookings, transportation services, and meal and/or land tour reservations). Answer incoming phone calls and relay important messages. Recommend services, products and establishments to customers, based on customers’ needs and interests. Drive tourists safely through various tour routes. Offer, up-sell, and market by promoting company services and products. Prepare company invoices and official receipts for customers and vendors. Input and maintain orderly system of data filing into company operating system (electronic and paper files). Work closely with vendors to ensure that reservation details are well-handled and properly recorded. Generate operation reports as needed such as incident reports, customer complaints, and etc. Communicate with China Office in regards to any inquiries. Distribute brochures, show audiovisual presentations, and explain establishment processes and operations at tour sites. Perform administrative tasks such as ordering supplies; prepare internal and external memos, preparations of departmental meetings, and provide assistance to respective Manager and/or other departmental Managers. Assist with hotel operations such as but not limited to: greeting, registering, and assigning rooms to guests; issue room keys and escort guests to rooms; answer inquiries pertaining to hotel services, guest registration, and travel directions or make recommendations such as shopping, dining, or entertainment; help resolve guest complaints; perform bookkeeping activities; arrange tours, transportation, or restaurant reservations. Other duties and responsibilities as needed.
High School Diploma Required? Undetermined
Qualification Requirements: High school diploma or GED. A minimum of six (6) months to one (1) year experience in travel or tour operation, sales or service related field. Able and willing to work shifts, evenings, holidays, and weekends. Able to drive tourists safely through various tour routes. Fluent in both written and oral communication in the English and Chinese languages.

Fringe Benefits: 25% of employee's contribution matched by employer (effective after the employee's 2nd year) if enrolled under the 401k Retirement Plan, 50% of Medical Insurance premium ($60.37) for incumbent's first 2 years (75% from 2-5 years, 100% employer share for 5 years or more), Holiday Pay (8hrs maximum), one $5 average duty meal if employee works more than 5 hours in one work day.
