| Job Duties: | Dismantles equipment and removes worn or defective parts, using hand tools. Replaces defective parts, such as plugs, reeds, needles, points, shuttles, cots, chains, slide rods, and slide or frame hooks. Adjusts parts and tension on parts, such as rollers, chains, and cylinders using hand tool and gauges. Repairs defective parts such as flats, wires, shuttles, wires, and welding equipment. Aligns, straightens, spaces and levels pats using hand tools, straightedge,spaces and level parts using hand tools. Replaces worn covering (rubber, cork, leather, cloth, felt) on cylinders, rollers and examines textile machines and equipment to detect defects, by observing or listening to machine or using micrometer and feeler gauges. |
