| Job Duties: | Serve food, beverages or desserts to customers in such settings as take-out counters order of restaurants or lunchrooms, business or industrial establishments and hotel rooms. Replenish food at serving stations. Examine trays to ensure they contain required items. Place food servings on plates and trays according to instructions. Load trays with accessories such as eating utensils, napkins, and condiments. Stocks service stations with items such as ice, napkins and straws. Removes trays and stack dishes for return to kitchen after meals are finished. Take customers’ orders and write items on tickets. Prepares and wraps food such as sandwiches, hot entrees, and desserts using standard formulas or following instructions. Prepares bill for food using cash register, accept payments or makes change. Delivers orders to kitchens, pick up and serve food when it’s ready. Serves salads, vegetables, meats, breads, cocktails, soups and sauces and fill beverage cup and glasses. Add relishes and garnishes to food orders according to instructions. Clean and sterilize dishes, kitchen utensils, equipments and facilities. Scrubs and polish counters, steam tables, clean glasses and other duties as needed. |
