Job Duties: Prepare, season and cook dishes to serve to customers; Order supplies, keep record of accounts, price items on menu and plan menu; Inspect and clean food preparation areas, equipment, work surfaces and serving areas to ensure safe and sanitary food-handling practices; Ensure food is stored and cooked at correct temperature by regulating temperature of ovens, broilers, grills and roasters; Ensure freshness of food and ingredients by checking for quality, keeping track of old and new items, and rotating stock; Weigh, measure and mix ingredients according to recipes or personal judgment, using various kitchen utensils and equipment; Portion, arrange, and garnish food, and serve food to waiters or patrons; Wash, peel, cut and seed fruits and vegetables to prepare them for consumption.
High School Diploma Required? Undetermined
Qualification Requirements: High school graduate or GED; Need anywhere from a few months to one year of working with experienced employees. Some previous work-related skill, knowledge, or experience is usually needed, with knowledge in preparation of mediterannean dishes; well-round in kitchen functions and food preparation; knowledgeable in production and processing, quality control and inventory of kitchen supplies; flexible work hours; food handler certified; should have valid driver's license.
