| Job Duties: | SUMMARY Responsible for the timely and efficient pickup and delivery of shipments and assist with preparation of inbound and outbound shipments. Compiles documents for incoming/outgoing cargo shipments to expedite removal of cargo from dock and prepares bills of lading for shipping charges by performing the following duties. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. " Drives vans, automobiles, and light trucks to pick up and deliver various cargoes to and from point of destination. " Performs inspection of vehicle for defects and safe operating condition before trips and submits written report on the condition of the vehicle at the beginning of the day. " Ensure that air freighted bank bags are cleared and delivered immediately. " Deliver bank documents from branch to branch. " Pick up bank mail and deliver to bank. " Records information in the Delivery/ Pick Up logs prior to run. " Prepares freight documents and parcels for TNT export (Weight & Dims). " Ensures necessary document are in order and manifested for export. " Assist in tendering cargo to airlines as requested. " Follows instructions from the Operation Manager and reports every pick-up and delivery, backs up dispatcher/CSR and assist on answering of telephones. " Ensure the delivery point is correct and the receiver is the proper company/person to release the package to. " Ensures the consignee signs received on the drivers Delivery/ Pick Up Log. " Submit completed Delivery/ Pick Up Log to the Customer Service Representative by end of day for uploading of POD. " Report all accidents involving driver or company equipment to the Operations Manager. " Ensure safe and timely transportation of cargo from the port to the customer's location. " Ensure proper loading and unloading of cargo onto the vehicle to assure safety and minimal risk to cargo. " Pre-alert destination station and appropriate departments. " Ensure professional representation of the Company through responsible driving, professional appearance and high level of customer service. " Verify Dangerous Goods declaration forms required for shipping, only by DG Certified GSA. " Cleaning/ organizing the office area. " CARGO AGENT (OCEAN) " Reads invoices and packing slips; Unloads, inspects, opens, sorts, checks, tags and verifies cargoes from the container accurately and efficiently. " Checks, inspects, tag and load cargoes into the container accurately and efficiently; Sorts verifies, tags and places cargoes on racks, shelves, or in bins. " Responsible for packing, labeling, securing on a pallet of outbound cargoes; Weighs and " measure items prior to shipment. " Conveys cargoes to the designated area of the warehouse; Marks cargoes for storage with identifying information. " Arrange the delivery of cargoes to the appropriate designation and verifies and checks cargoes released or distributed. " Assists in the preparation for return of damaged, defective and obsolete shipments; " Place outbound shipments on pallets and conveys orders to packing station. " Uses computer to enter records; Conducts weekly, monthly, quarterly & annual inventory of cargoes in storage. " Drives vehicle to transport cargoes to and from designated area. " Assists in the cleanliness, security and maintenance of the warehouse and the machinery and equipment ; Maintains vehicle (inside and out) in a clean state and in operating condition. " Makes minor repairs or adjustments such as fixing punctures, checking fluid levels, and " fueling; Report any exceptions, complaints, claims immediately to the Warehouse Manager. " Ensure quality service is in line with the company's policy. " Examines ship's manifest and bills of lading to determine work procedures for releasing cargo. " Notifies consignee or agent by telephone or letter of arrival dates of shipment, customs clearance requirements, cargo availability and demurrage charges. " Stamps bill of Lading so that cargo can be removed from port yard and Container Freight Station. " Computes with information provided from bills of ladings to generate various reports. " Prepares billing reports and submits to accounting department for collection. " Obtains cargo data from shipper such as cargo type, weight, measurement, destination and shipping data in order to determine allocation of cargo and fully utilize capacity of each hip. " Consults booking sheet to ascertain availability of cargo space. " Informs shipper of ship's name in which cargo is laden, sailing and delivery date of cargo. " Prepares various container reports are sent to respective Principals " Composes, types letters or correspondences from drafts and oral directives. |

| Qualification Requirements: | POSITION MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: " High school Graduate " Must possess a valid A/B driver's license " Strong oral and written communication skills " Proficient in MS Word/Excel. " From 3 months to 2 years customer service experience in freight forwarding industry LANGUAGE SKILLS: o Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. o Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: o Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. o Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry o Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance. REASONING ABILITY: o Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. o Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES: o Must be able to operate picker/forklift. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. o Must have knowledge of DOT regulations safe driving, hours of service inspection and maintenance and transportation of hazardous materials. o Must be able to sit and remain alert while driving for an aggregate period. o Must be able to perform frequent pushing or pulling of product weighing up to 250 pounds on a dolly or cart as well as occasional pushing or pulling of freight weighing up to 80 lbs without mechanical aid.
