Job Title: Assistant Director of Food and Beverage
Job Duties: • Select and manage beverage requirements and maintain an inventory of popular, high-quality and profitable wines and manage the long-range staffing needs of each F&B outlet. • Assist in planning and implementing procedures for special club events and banquet functions. • Purchase, store, and receive international wines for the resort’s cellar. • Review and manage monthly revenue and expenditure records and control expenses and research ways to generate more revenue. • Recommend wine and food pairings and provide personalized service to media and VIP guests. • Write and implement standard operating procedures and learning guides about wine. • Constantly assess wine and beverage service standards and arrange refresher training to improve team members’ competency levels. • Monitor industry and market trends and recommend adjustments to menus and pricing accordingly. • Suggest creative ideas to the executive management to enhance the resort’s image and wine offering. • Help plan and approve external and internal marketing and sales promotion activities for the food and beverage department. • To Implement standardized systems, operational tools or audits • Implement operational strategies to ensure quality and productivity. • Adhere to the company policies and procedures and comply with the Code of Conduct. • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualification Requirements: • Minimum of 3 years of progressive F&B management experience in large, up-scale, high volume, multi-F&B outlet hotel environment and at least 2 years of experience in a 5 star(s) hotel or well-known property. • Degree holder in Business Administration, Hospitality or equivalent working experience. • Preferred ability to communicate in English and Mandarin; knowledge of Cantonese, Japanese and Korean is an advantage. • Ability to operate Microsoft Windows & Office software. • Passionate about wine. • In-depth understanding of wine regions, grapes, vineyards and vintages. • Must be able to manage several tasks simultaneously and maintain high standard of services. • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels. • Comprehends budgets, operating statements and payroll progress reports to assist in the financial management of department is an advantage. • Must be a team-builder with outstanding coaching skills and innovative, creative and able to think outside the box. • Able to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment and focus attention on guest needs while remaining calm and courteous at all times. • Self-motivated, well-organized, responsible, friendly and polite with excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Team player who responds quickly to demands and thrives in a high-pressure work environment. • Able to multi-task.
