Job Title: Assistant Manager – Reservation & Revenue
Job Duties: • Assist in develop and recommend the budget, labor cost plans and objectives and manage within those approved plans • Assist Reservations Manager in planning duty roster • Be accountable for the proper handling of telephone reservations, correspondence pertaining to both F.I.T. and group reservations • Ensure group blocks, name lists and meal arrangements are being updated correctly • Handle guests and travel agencies from all over the world, mainly from Asia regions (China, Japan & Korea, etc.) • Responsible for recording company/travel agent rates both in system and correspondence file • Monitoring telephone manner and general performance of reservations staff daily • Assist in managing , coaching and developing all team members within the department to ensure competence, performance and objectives are met • Manage departmental and individual absenteeism and turnover levels to meet targets • Develop and organize appropriate training to ensure competency standards are maintained • Ensure guest history records and general guest information have been identified and accurately recorded in the system • Ensure that sufficient staffing is present to meet the daily business demands • Conduct shop call to monitor changes in pricing strategy from competitor hotels • Identify top producing accounts to ensure proper recognition by reservation staffs • Maintain excellent communication with the all supporting departments • Make analysis on business situation using Revenue Management tools • Maintain current product knowledge of events and facilities to ensure guests receive accurate, timely information and advice • Take full responsibilities of the Manager – Reservation & Revenue in his/her absence • Through leadership and supervision encourage behaviors that promote health and safety responsibility, accountability and awareness • Having knowledge of entire reservation procedure according to International hotel manual system • Report accidents, injuries, unsafe work conditions and/or security issues to supervisors • Interact with department and team members, management, and contractors professionally and positively. • Encourage good relationships, promote team spirit, and ensure effective two-way and multicultural communications. • Adhere to the company policies and procedures and comply with the Code of Conduct. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualification Requirements: • Must have 2 years’ supervisory level experience in reservation operations in a 5 star hotel / well known property • Bachelor’s Degree Holder or equivalent working experience • Equivalent professional training is preferred • Knowledge of Hotel Property Management System (preferably Opera) • Excellent interpersonal / presentation skills • Experience in managing budgets, revenue proposals and forecasting results • Strong leadership skills to effectively manage and motivate the team to achieve high level of performance and exceed targets • Responsible self-starter, capable of handling multi-faced projects and of working under pressure • Proactive and innovative problem solver • Proficiency in MS Office: Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint • Team player, who values teamwork, has good team building skills and is able to communicate effectively with all levels of employees • Able to work on flexible shifts including overnights, weekends and holidays on rotation basis • Fluent in English • Ability to communicate in Asian languages (either Chinese, Korean or Japanese) is an advantage • Self-motivated, well-organized, responsible, friendly and polite with excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Team player who responds quickly to demands and thrives in a high-pressure work environment. • Able to multi-task.
